Trusting God is a lifelong journey. Don’t travel alone.

All My Stories

It is my desire to be a voice of reason in these times where constructive dialogue can be a bit difficult to have. Many citizens that try to be politically informed, do so via media outlets that are clearly partisan, and although they should know better, many fail to realize that they are just hearing one side. If you are viewing this website on your computer, you'll see a Media Bias Chart below that identifies where on the political spectrum the various outlets are positioned. Armed with this information we should be able to consider the source as we listen to coverage of current events.

I admit to frequently tuning into an outlet that is considered "Strong Left" on the chart below. Sometimes I get a little laugh, other times I may say "you're tripping". I am often entertained to some degree, although I know that the moral of each story predictably will be, "We are good, and they are bad". The same with the late-night talk shows and "Saturday Night Live". I realize that I am being entertained from a "strongly left" perspective. It's sort of like my willingness to watch a crime show or a Hallmark movie. I find them entertaining although from the first minute I know that the bad guys will get caught, and the man and the lady will get it together and kiss in the end. More and more though, I find coverage that is pretty much down the middle or maybe a little to the left more satisfying. I genuinely like a climate and platforms where people can present opposing views in a civil manner. If we don't want this nation to be as divided as we recognize that it presently is, don't we need to at least hear some viewpoints from the other side?

This is a brand-new website. Check out the "A Case for Not Sitting Out This Election" blog below.
